The Mind-Body Healing Approach
Healing starts from within—by tapping into our awareness, thoughts, and emotions rather than solely focusing on physical abnormalities.
Often, shifting attention away from structural diagnoses and exploring emotional pain can reveal the true source of discomfort. Conditions like degenerative disc disease, arthritis, or a jammed sacroiliac joint may sound alarming, yet many people with these conditions experience no pain at all.
So where does the pain come from?
It stems from your life experiences—emotional pain, deeply held beliefs, and unresolved trauma.
This isn’t about ignoring pain or simply “thinking positively” (though mindset can be powerful). It’s about understanding the deeper message behind your symptoms, challenging limiting beliefs about pain, and releasing emotional burdens that may be keeping you stuck.
By addressing pain at its root, true healing becomes possible.

Table 2 clearly shows that many people with structural changes—such as disc degeneration, bulges, protrusions, and facet degeneration—experience no pain at all.
For example, you can see that in people aged 40, 68% has disc degeneration, but no symptoms at all.
Pain often leads to a search for a structural cause, and when something is found, it gets blamed—often reinforcing the pain. In reality, addressing emotions and underlying stress is key.
